I just finished this series so far last night and my palms are ITCHING for Exoria.
Kamery, you’re killing me here.
The books aren’t too long so I decided to review them as a whole. I LOVE THIS SERIES! Who doesn’t love Greek Mythology. Add to that a few awesome human women and…
GAHHH! SO GOOOD!! Okay! Let’s begin!
Zeus (The God Chronicles #1)
Vegas is not where Karly had imagined herself to be at this point in her life. She was supposed to be living in California, soaking up the sun and enjoying the life of an artist. Instead, she’s just moving out of her parent’s house and going to a school that could loosely be called her second choice. When she meets Zeus Drakos, owner of the new hit casino and resort in town, he seems just like every other jerk guy out there. How was she supposed to know who he really was?
YES, YES AND YES!! This book is so damn cute! Zeus is his usual prick self until he meets the innocent Karly. This story was all about “fate” and moving slowly through a relationship. Karly was determined to make it in life. She wanted to show her parents she could be a successful artist. Zeus needed to get on with his plans so he can be where he needed to be. I loved their transition from the time they meet to where they end up in the end. The paranormal part of this book didn’t overshadow the base of the book which was two people experiencing something for the first time (mind out of the gutters people). I enjoyed this book from cover to cover.
Poseidon (The God Chronicles #2)
Audrey has everything she’s ever wanted. When it all gets torn away in a tragic accident, she begins to spiral out of control. How can she get back to where
she was after everything that happened? Thankfully, Sy steps in to save her-literally. Over time, strong feelings begin to battle within her, feelings she does not want to have. Will she be able to let go of her past in order to secure her future?
Where Zeus’s story was cute, Poseidon’s story was so sad. Audrey’s tragedies are the root of this story. Poseidon “Sy” is harboring a secret (and apparently so are a couple of other gods), a secret that will change everything for him and Audrey. Audrey is trying to push forward passed everything she has lost. She’s determined to live a normal life and she has Sy to help her out, little does she know that the supernatural is all around her ready to reveal everything. This book was good. I cried in the beginning, I cried in the middle and rejoiced in the end.
Hades (The God Chronicles #3)
What would you do if you discovered the world you thought you knew was nothing like you’d been lead to believe?
Katrina Saul has had a rough couple of months. Instead of starting out on the adventure of her life after graduating high school, she’s been dealing with the nasty divorce of her parents, breaking up with her boyfriend, and working as the unofficial bouncer at a bar. When an angry customer comes back for revenge, she’s saved by Erebos, the Greek Titan of myth. Unfortunately, a simple thank you won’t fulfill her debt in his mind.
Thrust into the Underworld, with a mission that could potentially end life as she knows it, will she be able to fool the God of Death himself? Or will Hades discover her and ruin everything?
The story of Hades and Katrina was my favorite by far. It was…. I don’t have a word to best describe how much I enjoyed this book. In the story you see the transition of Hades and Katrina both together and apart. The storyline was superb, the cliffhanger.. OMG THE CLIFFHANGER!!!! It was…. tragically perfect. This book was perfect. I loved it that much.
I cannot WAIT to find out how their story unfolds.
Adrastia (The God Chronicles #4)
There’s not a chance in Hell
Cristos- A hunter, feared by all those whom Tartarus awaits, Cristos is the pride and joy of Olympus, the daring son of Zeus. But a Seer sees something in his future that he can not accept, something he is determined to ensure never happens.
Avalon- A normal girl with a secret she has yet to discover, a secret that will end her life as she knows it. Will hidden power be enough to save her? Or will she have to rely on the man hell bent to destroy her?
Now that Solomon has run through the Greek God brothers, she’s moved down to their offspring, at least for this book.
Cristos is the son of Zeus and Karly, He is a lot older, so they have definitely fast forwarded quite a bit after the ending of Hades.
Cristos angered some important people and in turn received the curse of knowing his future… a future that is fated to happen no matter what move he makes… WELP, THAT SUCKS. Cristos, being Adrastia “the inescapable” and all that isn’t going to take a statement like that lying down though.
Avalon is your run of the mill normal girl… at first. She goes into a major transition and gets thrust into a world she thought was the stuff of myth and fairytales.
This book had the most action. I enjoy Solomon’s transition from cutesy book in the first of the series to the more ballsy storyline we have here. You get action, love, romance, friendship all rolled into this adventure and it was fantastic from start to finish.
Next in line from what I’ve seen is a book called Exoria. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am about this book. I’m hoping we get a release date soon.
If you are into paranormal romance, greek mythology or just want a book with romantic heroes… this is your series.
Kamery is not the person who grew up dreaming of the day that she would clutch her very own novel to her chest, tears brimming over the rims of her eyes as she thought about how she’d written it herself, finally! In fact, anything remotely like that didn’t even happen until she was actually holding her first book in her hand, amazed that she’d written it and wondering how on Earth she’d managed to do it when it hadn’t ever occurred to her to write one until months before. Surprisingly, though, it was just what she never realized she loved doing.
When starting out in life, Kamery had (and still has) big dreams to perform on Broadway. She loves music and acting very much, while she and dance have a love/hate relationship; she would love to do it and every form of dance decides it hates that about her, haha! The one constant she always had between the performing world and the book world were the stories, tales that transported her to other worlds and made her feel like she really could do anything. Finally, she decided she wanted to do that for someone else and sat down to write.
It’s been a few years since she held that first book, realizing that she really liked writing and wanted to do more, but the love that blossomed in that moment has only grown. Currently, Kamery works from home in the White Mountains of Arizona, while taking care of her two adorable kids, a girl and a boy, and talking her sweet husband Jake’s ear off about the insane amount of characters in her head who are ready to fight to the death for a chance at their own novels. She also gets together with other authors in the family and they all gab together, making up The Royal Court of the Queens of Romance. It truly is a wonderful life!
